| THUNDER BAY--- February 6, 2007 -- MetalCORP Limited (TSX-V:MTC) ("Company") is pleased to announce that it has retained North Star Consulting Inc. ("North Star") as an investor relations consultant pursuant to a month-to-month contract dated January 30, 2007, terminable by either party at any time. The Company has terminated its previous investor relations contract dated March 1, 2006 with Blackwell Investor Relations Corp. North Star will assist the Company in the preparation and dissemination of all press releases and other publicly disclosed corporate information, in communicating with shareholders and prospective investors, and at mining conferences. North Star is an Ontario corporation operated by Daniel J. Courtney with offices at 190 Koivu Road, Thunder Bay, Ontario, P7G 2J6. Daniel J. Courtney has been engaged in marketing activities and is extending that experience to full-time investor relations activities on behalf of MetalCORP. MetalCORP agreed to pay North Star $6,000 per month (plus out-of-pocket expenses) during the term of the contract, plus options on 200,000 shares of MetalCORP at $1.89 per share, subject to shareholder and Board approvals and acceptance by the TSX Venture Exchange. The options will vest in stages: 50,000 will vest three months after the date of TSXV acceptance, 50,000 will vest six months after TSXV acceptance and the balance will vest one year after TSXV acceptance.
