| June 29, 2006 MetalCORP to Resume Drilling at Big Lake Copper-Zinc-Silver-Gold Discovery | |
| THUNDERBAY- June 29, 2006- MetalCORP Limited (TSX-V: MTC) is pleased to announce that diamond drilling will resume on or about July 7th, 2006 on its 100% owned Big Lake project located 10km southeast of Marathon and 10km southwest of the Hemlo gold mines, Ontario. The program is designed to follow-up on the BL 14 Copper-Zinc-Silver-Gold (Cu-Zn- Ag-Au) discovery, where the best hole to date (hole #24) intercepted 7.5% Cu, 2.2% Zn, 138.0g/t Ag and 9.2 g/t Au over 4m, test the strong off-hole conductors detected using Crone's down-hole Pulse EM geophysical system, and test the 400 m long EM conductor located 1.0km west of the BL14 Zone, which may also represent sulphide mineralization. The off-hole anomaly south and east of holes #29 and 30 is believed to represent a large concentration of Cu-Zn-Ag-Au sulphide mineralization and the off-hole anomaly south and west of holes #24 and #31 indicates the possible presence of massive sulphide mineralization (see News Release 16-05-06). Both areas represent high priority drill targets which will be tested during this campaign. The Big Lake program is being carried out under the supervision of Allan MacTavish, P.Geo. (QP -- NI43-101). Core is split and sent to ALS Chemex Labs for analysis by ICP-AES. MetalCORP routinely introduces standards and blanks into the sample stream. MetalCORP Limited is a mineral exploration company based in Thunder Bay, Ontario with a focus on base metals in northwestern Ontario.
